I just wanted to publicly thank Louis Badolato for his gift of a K&C ambulance. Now that I am around one month away from commissioning and four and a half away from going to Medical Service Corps training in San Antonio, the reality of it is starting to hit home. It's great to have the ambulance on my nightstand as a reminder of what my predecessors went through just over seventy years ago.

I haven't been very active these last five years between military school and college, but I really appreciate the support and kindness shown by all forum members, from Nick Cameron and Pat & Walt to Louis.
I salute all of you :salute::

Amazing generosity!
Sandor, I wish you' all the best in your new venture!

Whether he's rescuing snapping turtles from the hustle and bustle of downtown Roslyn, giving an energetic discussion about the latest toy soldier or antique globe he acquired or giving an impassioned speech about WW2 veterans, Louis is aces all the way and Im not surprised in the least by his generosity. There were good and bad times for me in the army, and even now as a result of my service some time later, but make no mistake about it, every time I run into Louis I am thankful for guys like him and I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again because of him. He's my brother from my other Italian mother.

Ft Sam in August huh Sandor? Dress warm!!! :D;){sm3}

Chris,

I am thankful for you, and every other veteran, whose service has kept and keeps my family and I safe. And you are my brother from another mother, and are welcome at my home anytime you can get here.:smile2:

I never had a problem with Fort Sam in August. What is worse is having
Thanksgiving Dinner on the Patio.
