Well another weekend in the Wairarapa draws to a close. I enjoyed the WW1 poetry recital on Saturday lunchtime. The evening play was a jolly good effort by the amature players of the Greytown Little Theater company. The steak dinner a very good bottle of wine we had for supper afterwards topped of a really good Valentine's day. The Black Caps won the opening world cup cricket game (I had an enjoyable couple of hours half watching the cricket on the TV while reading Toy Soldier Collector). Unfortunately as expected the Poms got smashed by the sledging Aussies.

As for today it was wedding anniversary day and we went out to the vineyard where we got married three years ago for a sumptuous late afternoon three course lunch. Its back to the capital tomorrow and the working week. I am thinking of setting up a large Viking and Saxon diorama next weekend. Thanks again for all the views, comments and likes. I feel I should slow down with the photo's as I am probably swamping the forum a bit.

I leave you with a couple more Napoleonic shots of British Hussars and Wellington on campaign.

Gary

Gary, you make life sound so good and it really is. Even Jack's day of swimming in the surf, hot bread for lunch and siesta in the afternoon, is alright by me. My day started with cutting the lawn in 40 mph stormy weather, then working at my job in the afternoon. I have no complaints. My wife made a prime rib dinner for Valentine's and am now viewing your diverse collection of soldiers. Seems you make good use of your collection. Keep it up.

Ah life has its ups and down - I have had my share of the downs. The important thing is you only get one life and so you may as well make the most of it whatever your circumstances. The prime rib dinner sounded fabulous. Chuck me a bone across the Pacific!

Take care buddy.

I'll second that Gary - post whatever you like - we don't HAVE to click on it, if we don't want to.:D

This is a very "visual" hobby - so as far as I'm concerned, it's always good to look at what others have - and what they've done with them, so post away to your hearts content. Please also remember to give a brief description of who made 'em, what they are etc., - and maybe where you got them from ??? It's always useful to know - especially when you see something that tickles the taste-buds!!:D Johnnybach

Gary,

Keep those photos coming! ^&cool

Have a good week mate.

Brad
