This is another great book on Frederic the Great Army. Printed in landscape format it does cover all of the 21 major battles the King of Prussia fought during his reign.

The book starts with the:
First Slesian War 16.12.1740 - 11.6.1742
Mollwitz 1741
Chozositz 1742
Second Slesian War 17.8.1744 - 25.12.1745
Hohenfriedberg 1745
Soor 1745
Kesseldorf 1745
The Seven Year´s War 29.08.1756 - 15.2.1763
Lobositz 1756
Prag 1757
Groß Jägersdorf 1757
Roßbach 1757
Breslau 1757
Leuthen 1757
Zorndorf 1758
Hochkirch 1758
Kay 1759
Kunersdorf 1759
Maxen 1759
Liegnitz 1760
Torgau 1760
Burkersdorf 1762
Freiberg 1762

Out of those 21 battles, Friederich won 14 and 7 where lost. At almost every occassion Friederichs Army was inferior in numbers. The book does not cover the "Coalition Battles in the West" .
The book does cover every battle and provides detailed maps as well as the most important "Ordre de Battaille". With this you are able to move your troops to the historical correct position.

As the sudden success of Frederic suprised the world it also had a massive inpact on the german society until the present day.

To the present day it is rumored that Friederich himself composed the "Hohenfriedberger Marsch" himself. But there is no proof of it. Anyway this became the soundtrack for the Battle of Hohenfriedberg 4.6.1745

Hohenfriedberger

After the costly battle of Leuthen the Prussian Army gathered and sang the Protestant hymn, the 1636 composed song "Nun lobet alle Gott mit Herzen Mund und Händen".
Another song that became deeply rooted into the german soul. It was sung after every battle by those german soldiers who did survive. It was not banned during the Nazi years but due to the religious context no more promoted. It was loudly sung in 1955 when the last 10.000 surviving POW from Russia arrived in Friedland/West Germany.

Nun lobet alle Gott
