Hi Guys,

Well, our 3 surprises are finally out of the hat! Unfortunately, some of our shipments were held by customs and we were not able to show "Operation Chromite". However, our other two surprises did arrive and we were very excited to show it. My only regret was that details of our "SHOCK" item, which was our TIGER I, was leaked out before our event. But no big deal, its all fun!

Here are some photos I took to share with you.

Thank you all for your support for Figarti.

Rick, outstanding job with the tigers. I've admired Figarti's detail and quality for some time, but have not purchased any since it's a different scale than what I currently collect, looks like that is about change. Great work, looking forward to seeing them in person.:)

Thank you, Rick for what looks to be the new benchmark in AFV detail. Some are of the impression that the tiger has already been over done, but I say there's always room for another nicely thought out and produced tiger and in this case, make that room for FIVE more great tiger models.:) Awesome!

Rick,

Very nicely done. And a big thank you for producing the paras. They will be making an appearance on my Christmas list.

Rick, What wonderfully detailed models. To you sir, my hat is very off.

I'm guessing it's smaller because it's 54 so if you get the winter one and stick it in with a K & C Tiger and a HB Panther it may seem a little smaller than the other two. Of course, it's hard to definitively say until we see them in person.

Just for the record here is the display we made to debut The New Tiger Tank...Of course it got lost in Transit by the Post Office:(

You know...

...I'm willing to BET that when all is said and done, if truth is told, the Post Office will end up having had nothing to do with the tank not being in place.

As a government official of sorts, I imagine you'd very quickly get tired of constant carping about your profession. So, when all is said and done, it would be interesting for you to come back and post about what actually caused the problem.

If it WAS the post office, then I'LL apologize. If it wasn't, then you should at least admit that you took a cheap shot at an easy target!

This may be a dumb question but from the picutres it looks like you can take the tiger tank apart and have it displayed as a cutaway model. Is this correct? Nice looking tank by the way.

Thanks,
Old Guard

I just got through reading Steve's report which I should have done first because it answered my questions. This tanks sounds very cool and I love that you can take it apart.

Hey, Hey Hey, I made this wonderful WW2 European diorama and I also work for the USPS (since 1999!) I sent out 2 dioramas to Chicago for FAGARTI at the same time and one made it and the other is in limbo somewhere. This is what really happened!!! NO CHEAP shots just a lost item..... I hope this will put you at ease my friend from Iowa. Hopefully you will be able to sleep tonight. LOL.

Nick...

Happily, I don't have any trouble sleeping, and now -- two years into retirement -- what goes on inside of USPS is of very little interest to me. What I object to is folks doing -- whatever they do -- screwing up somehow, and then using the old 'check is in the mail' meaning delayed/lost/whatever, when almost any other explanation is more likely. That casts hundreds of thousands of employees in a bad light, and I feel certain that at least two or three actually DO know how to do their jobs. Tell someone looking for a late payment that the check is in the mail, and they KNOW that is was not put in the mail.

Since you've worked for USPS, for a short time now, you must know that it is elementary and de rigeur to use tracking to determine packages' locations. Sending something as important -- and likely fragile -- as this would seem to me to mean that you WOULD have used an offered service with a tracking number. If that is the case, then you must KNOW where the package is...or the reason for its absence. If you shipped something like that without any tracking number, one can only ask....WHY?

If it is inconvenient for you to research yourself, give ME the tracking information and I'll find out what happened to your package. (o;

And, if USPS DID lose the package, or misdirect it, I will own up to that as well.
