Hello all,
I was wondering what some of you think might think of Britains doing the Alamo someday? I know they tried it once before, but I think it would be a really cool range for Britains to try. 3 of my favorite battles in history, are Isandlawana, The Little Big Horn and the Alamo. I just started collecting the Zulu war range, the figure quality is fantastic. I know people are already talking about the Little Big Horn, but what about the Alamo? Is the interest there?

Well, I have no objection to it... thing is that I have already started collecting K&C's wonderful Alamo range already and probably will not be starting again with a new brand. I do have one of the older Britains Alamo range sets which is the "North Wall set". It is a very nice piece. I'm sure Britians can do a great job of it however, I think it may be a saturated market for figures that can't really be used for more than a couple of memorable battles that occurred at that time. With Napoleonic or ACW figures, you can recreate many battles using exclusively figures of a certain manufacturer. Sometimes, you can mix different brands of figures and sometimes you can't because of scupting style, painting style and figure size. I did notice, especially in the past few years, that manufacturers are increasingly distinguishing themselves from each other by making it more difficult to mix figures of different brands which wasn't true before. Must be their way of gaining a loyal clientele...
