Found a nice book the other day with beautiful illustrations, presenting "The American Soldier", U.S. Armies in uniform, 1755 to present (present being the 1990's)
9 1/2" x 12" in size, hardback, 223 pages, 160 full-color illustrations, more than 100 black & white photographs and illustrations.
The color illustrations were taken from a series of the well known Osprey books. See the list shown in the photo below.

That is a nice book Konrad. I have a copy of the US Soldiers. I noticed Osprey is making more hardcover books on their figure lines. I also have a old book by Katcher on uniforms and info on French/Indian war. This was a hard book to find but I found it a few years ago. John
 
Nice looking book. Unfortunately for me I have all the books that the material was culled from. For many others that will be a nice gathering of material.
