DVRed the first episode last night...
fast forwarded through commercials and watched today...
pretty gruesome...
pretty bloody...
but if you saw the trailer you already knew that...

they established the good and bad characters...
they established a plot for the series...
acting and cinematography is good...
period sets are realistic...
done on a nice scale...
not epic yet...
but not cheesy...

I'm in for the duration based on the first episode...
unless it gets stale...

I wanted to like it so much more then I actually did

Have to say that if they stayed with a realistic story and didn't jump into the medieval SiFi stuff it would be better. Still enjoying Vikings and the others so if it was cancelled its not a big loss.

Here's a good site to check on shows. http://www.ismyshowcancelled.com/home/ It's not so much that FX cancelled it but Sutter himself did.I watched 3 or 4 episodes and have been recording the rest but won't watch them now.Something was just missing on this,about like Camelot was on Starz a few years ago.
