Man alive- that is brutal!!! I saw a special once with a Viking who caught an axe blade right in the grill.

I read an article about Ancient warfare the other day- they claim that only 5% of the troops were actually KIA. Losses higher than that made future defensive actions impossible- they simply didn't have the manpower. The article was written about Cannae- the Carthaginians accepted 15% KIA whereas the Romans lost approx 65% KIA.

Whenever I jump into a moshpit, I can only imagine how insane that stuff must have been.
