Napoleon himself said of this regiment:
"Brave 18, no enemy can withstand it."{eek3}
The figures represent a few of the rifle battalion (officers, musicians, soldiers ..)
The flag carrier does not appear.??
Krasnoe 1812 to the 18th line has lost its eagle!

Again, Ney refuses to submit and, with 2,000 survivors - all that remains of his army - managed to escape, went into the forest by Platov's Cossacks.
For two days, Ney and his small party of brave attempt to keep out of reach of Cossack attacks, walking trails through the West in search of Napoleon's army. Elements and Cossacks soon reduce its contingent only 800 survivors.:salute::Guy.
