I don't know how many of you read anything from Michael Yon, I haven't in a while myself, but here is a piece he wrote of a firefight earlier this year that involved the British. I spotted the article on Foxnews.com today.

That seemed a very realistic story. The physical factor in wars often is almost unknowable, unless you have been there. In history, the roads to battles are often strewn with collasped soldiers. The author does a good job clearing away some of the mist.

I went back in the archives on Michael Yon's site and finally found the first dispatch I read of his a couple years ago. Talk about an insane fire fight! Just read this post. It is called Gates of Fire.
