This is a very weird and artsy movie set in the aftermath of WWI. It purports to tell the story of a troubled boy whose American father is involved in the treaty negotiations following the war. The jist of it is that his childhood traumas lay the groundwork for becoming a fascist leader. I don't see the parallels between this kid and the real fascist leaders but it's an interesting take on how the seeds of discontent are sowed early. Probably not for everyone as it is a bit slow moving though. Available on Netflix.
