Saw the preview for this one and is on my list to watch. Good cast and Ridley Scott directing is a good indicator.

From Wiki
The Counselor is an upcoming drama thriller film directed by Ridley Scott, from the first original film screenplay by Cormac McCarthy. The Counselor is set to be released in the United States on October 25, 2013 by 20th Century Fox. The film is rated R for grisly images, graphic violence, strong sexual content, and language. The film will be dedicated to the memory of the director's brother Tony Scott, who committed suicide during production, and Matthew Baker, an assistant director on the film who has since passed away.[1] The screenplay written by Pulitzer Prize winner McCarthy will also be available in book form starting October 15. The original score by Daniel Pemberton will be released digitally October 22

The film tells the story of a greedy lawyer (Michael Fassbender) who finds himself in over his head when he decides to delve into the dark world of drug trafficking. Along the way we meet his naive girlfriend Laura (Penélope Cruz); Westray (Brad Pitt), a seedy middleman; Reiner and Malkina (Javier Bardem and Cameron Diaz), a mysterious and dangerous couple; and Ruth (Rosie Pérez), a prison inmate represented by the lawyer.

Other support cast are Dean Norris, Bruno Ganz (Downfall) and Reuben Blades.
