A display I did today featuring King and Country's French Cuirassiers and British 2nd Lifeguards. I have personally always loved when Cavalry comes together.

Thought it would be at least set in snow, but very good anyway.:salute::, Robin.

Robo, nice grouping, and as a NAP collector, glad to see this. It gives me ideas for the rebuilding of my 6'x4' battlefield. Of course when I moved from LI to Delaware, I had to break everything down. I would direct you to pics on this site, but I was also a victim of Photo Bucket. I've been slow to motivate myself to resurrect the 2 dios, but they will be coming in due time. Keep the pics coming.

Thank you! To be frank this is the first time I've ever focused my attention on the Napoleonic section at my work, but creating the photo definitely intrigued my interest and makes me want to do more research. Thank you for your kind words and I'm so glad to help with some ideas on your rebuild. What figures do you collect?

Cheers,
Robo

Robo,

I have NAP Cavalry from K&C, Collectors Showcase, and Britains; Infantry from K&C, Britains and a few Tommy Gunn; Artillery from K&C, Collectors Showcase, and First Legion. That total collection is about 800 figures and cannons.

Then, I have about 200 other range figures from ancient all the way to WWII from K&C and Britains.

Wow that's incredible! How do these different ranges look together? Like how do you like the quality of Britains next to a K&C figure?

I collect early American history, especially ACW. But recently I've jumped into French and Indian War by JJ. I do have one Napoleonic set because I love the W. Britains hospital sets.

Robo, in a large dio, it's easy to keep some separation between different style and size figures. And at the same time it's also easy to hide the differences in the very cluttered and chaotic character of pre modern battlefields. Also with most of the companies making figures for many ranges and retiring them as well, I felt pressed to buy the different regiments I needed for the battlefield from different companies to make sure I could secure them. With K&C and Britains there's a slight size difference, but I think they blend well enough. I'm sorry that Photo Bucket ate my dio pics from the forum as you would have been able to judge from that. I hope that helps you.....................Joe

I completely understand that notion. It's hard when one company makes a certain regiment and another does a different one. I always justify it by saying some guys are bigger than other ones. I personally love variation in sizes when it comes to large scale displays!
