With all of the postings debating scale the subject of painting figures and armour both soft and hard skin and the making of dioramas etc., etc., I consider the Encyclopedia of Military Modeling published by Octopus Books Limited first published in 1981 the finest on the subject ever done. So if your a stickeler on Scale, figure and armour painting, information on building realistic dioramas, covertering figures of all the books you may have in your toy soldier libary it's a book you should have. It'll keep you from putting your foot in your mouth when discussing or debating any of the above subjects and it more than covers the fine points covered for any toy soldier collector. It's currently availabe on Amazon.com in various price rangers. Just make sure when checking the listing availabe that it's the 1981 edition by Octopus Publishing limited. The photos in the book speak for themselves on the subjects.......The Lt.
