A few years ago, I visited in Latvia ( in former USSR), the city of Liepaja. This town was a sovietic "top secret" area , a stategic military area on the baltic sea.

You can see below this place only 15 years after the red army left....

in this last photo you can see some communist propaganda painted on cartoons i found under the sand in an ancient red army kitchen
 
Good pic's Poppo and it just goes to show that if infrastructure is not maintained then it goes into decline very quickly!

Thank you Tom, yes, probably also because these bunkers were built on the sand.....And the german bunkers from ww2 in Normandy have a better look than these even if very much older!
