A Private (Grenadier Co.) of the 44th Regiment 1754-1763
The 44th Regiment of Foot under the command of Sir John Halkett was part of General Edward Braddock's forces that were massacred at the Battle of Monongahela on July 9, 1755 by a combined force of French & Indians during the French & Indian War of 1754-1763.

Another beautiful photo and setup of a great figure. I love the more obscure
soldiers and time periods that you present to us. This one is crisp and clean and I observe what I believe to be a H&A grass base that is needed in my den. What's the pedigree on your birch trees? Mike

The grass is from H&A and the tree and "logs" are cut from trees in our yard.
