Being inspired my Mike I decided to give it a shot and created both the Hospital and the Storehouse using 1/2" & 1/4" Sturdy Board priming them with Flex Paste, with an undercoat of Americana Acrylic Paint and finished with DecoArt Sanstone. I had tried working with the 3/4 pink foam starting with the Storehouse but wasn't pleased with the results. This may be another source or way open to you for adding buildings when planning a diorama. Open for comments..........Joe

Meeting Mike O'Donnell of Mod Walls and Buildings at the Dedham Show this past Spring we got to chatting about his work and told him what I was into and asked him for his card. I then placed a call to him asking him if he would be interested in building the Hospital at Rorke's Drift and which time we shortly got together. After spending some time giving him an idea of what I wanted I gave him a free hand in building it and here are the results. The painting was done my me which isn't quite finished yet along with adding the foundation. Mike does some very nice work along with converting and painting plastics figures covering WWII. What's grate about the buiding it breaks down and easy to transport. Enjoy

I like the style of the buildings. They have a good look to them...Is that hay on the roof??? That also looks good.

The Hospitals roof in the first group of photos was done using saw dust and leaving it natural. The roof top of the Hospital was done using LEMAX Moss Display Mat as well as the roof top of the Storehouse.......Joe

Real good job on the 2 roofs. The material used was perfect. I have a couple of jars filled with saw dust but I never knew what to do with them. Now I know!:D
