Saw the preview of this the other day. Looks good if you like movies like Taken, Jack Reacher etc. Chan is some sort of ex Special Forces guy who takes on what appears to be the IRA.

From Wiki

The Foreigner is a English-language action thriller film directed by Martin Campbell and written by David Marconi, based on the 1992 novel The Chinaman by Stephen Leather. The British-Chinese co-production stars Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan, Charlie Murphy, Michael McElhatton, Orla Brady, Liu Tao and Katie Leung. It is scheduled for release in China on 30 September 2017 and in the United States on 13 October 2017. Opens in Oz 19 Oct.

Quan (Jackie Chan) is a humble London businessman whose long-buried past erupts in a revenge-fuelled vendetta when his teenage daughter dies in a senseless act of politically motivated terrorism. His relentless search to find the terrorists leads to a cat-and-mouse conflict with a British government official Hennessy (Pierce Brosnan), whose own past may hold the clues to the identities of the elusive killers.

Finally got to see this one.

After the bomb that kills his daughter goes off it is a race between Jackie Chan and the police as to who gets to the bombers first. Brosnan and politician and ex IRA is stuck in the middle under pressure from both of them to provide the answers. Naturally the bombers not planning to stop at one bomb. Plenty of intrigue and betrayal going on amongst the IRA, family and friends.

Despite being 63 and "shuffling" a lot early on Chan still has what it takes to take on IRA thugs with or without guns.

Might be finished in most cinemas but one to watch out for on Netflix etc if you like the revenge genre.

Saw this one with my son a few weeks ago and we liked it overall. Good acting and story across the board...
