Was searching the internet for pictures of the terrain in and around Barksdale's Charge as I'm reading Tuckers Book on the subject and found an incredibly interesting program called The Gettysburg Story.
It will be shown this fall around the time of the 150th anniversary of the Gettsyburg address on PBS (not sure why it was not shown for the 150th anniversary of the actual battle).
I bought a copy off of Amazon; to me, what is extremely unique about the program is the what it's shot. They used helocopters and mini helocopters to film the story so the viewer gets to see the battlefield from above, which really, really allows you to see and understand the terrain.
It looks spectacular to me, there are afew clips on YouTube if you do a search for The Gettysburg Story.
Can't get enough books and programs about this battle IMO.
