A little scene I shot this morning:

Nice work, but on a 'technical point' artillery rounds don't get put with the cartridge case base on the ground because that is where the percussion cap is located. They could get inadvertently dropped onto a rock and detonate !!!!! They can be laid on the ground but shouldn't get and dirt or soil on them. For separated ammunition is OK to store the projectile on it's base, but not the cartridge case.
