"The Guns at Brecourt Manor" June 6,1944 (1 Viewer)

I have always enjoyed K&Cs American paratroopers. I've had this image of the field at Brecount Manor the way it is today. I always thought about doing of a scene with Company E of the 502nd, 101st PIR attacking the the 105mm cannons that were there on the morning of June 6th. It must have taken a lot of guys with the "Right Stuff" to pull it off. I like the foreground where the medic is carrying one of the wounded men back to the aid station and two of his friends stop in the middle of a firefight to watch their buddy leave...

The trenches and background look great...also like the figures and the way they are setup...The Guns...are they superimposed pictures ?...what type of guns are they....I have not seen these guns before...cheers TomB

The 105mm gun is a photograph I dropped in to the scene. It is the same type of cannon that the Germans had at Bercourt Manor on the morning June 6th 1944.
