Toy Soldiers in the 1930's made by Hausser and Lineol in Germany were made to a scale of approximatly 1/26 and a figure size of 70mm. Intricate Armor and Artillery made from formed Tin sheet (Tin Toys) Brass and Cast Iron were produced in fantastic detail by Marklin, Bub, Gescha, Gama, Tippco etc. Vehicles actually ran on spring motors. Artillery actually fired using caps and exploading projectiles! The 70mm figure standard and the scale of 1/26 have been revived by modern polystone and pewter Toy Soldier manufacturers. The cannon no longer fire nor do the vehicles run but the size and scale are the same as the 1930's! K&C and TCS are the Hausser and Lineol of the 21st century. Everything old is new again in the world of Toy Soldiers! My Hausser and Marklin Artillery look very realistic served by 68mm figures from K&C and TCS. Far superior figures in qualty than the composition figures of the 1930's

Size comparison of modern toy soldiers. 1/35 to 1/25 scale. The 1/25 70mm Tamiya figure on the right is about the same size as the composition toy soldiers of the 1930s made by Hausser.

You are correct; the NMA figure got dropped and the WB figure is serving in his place; while he is in hospital recovering from severe head injurys.
