Last night I completed a book (in Spanish) entitled "The History of a Collection". The book took me the better part of two years to complete and tracks the entire story of my father's collection from his first purchase in 1969 to the collection's final sale in 2013. It is a very intimate and detailed story of purchases, barters, auctions, collecting decisions and philosophy and about how the hobby developed in general throughout my father's lifetime, particularly in Argentina. It is told by my father and then by myself in the first person.

It is 240 pages long, hardback and in the highest possible quality paper.

Illustrations are usually full page and are more oriented towards showing the beauty of the figures than to documenting the full scope of the collection (except for an Appendix that shows his entire 1,000 figure Lucotte collection). They show in detail figures from the main brands in my father's collection: Lucotte, Britains, Heyde, Wernicke (Argentina), Sommer (Argentina), Four Feathers (Beau Geste, Argentina) and others.

The prologue is by one of my father's life-long friends: owner of Beau Geste, Cristián Fernández.

I hope you are able to acquire it and enjoy it. It is not a very cheap book but I am selling it basically "at cost", with no intention of making money on it.

Jorge,

Congrats on your book.

Thank you very much! I am quite proud of the result. An English version would probably take me very long to prepare, so I really doubt I'll translate the book, but in any event it is a beautiful object, and the quality of the paper and the pictures is superb.
