I managed to borrow an ebook of this from my library. Hefty and wordy read with many pics. Author is owner of Garibaldi Toy Soldier coy. He has an immense and diverse collection of toy soldiers featuring many unusual European makes, largely Spanish and Italian. It reads like an old style nostalgic book and features quite a bit on specialist makers too, including Vertunnis. Some unknown pics of Metayer and Desfontiane figures. He quotes profusely from John Garratt and several well known collectors have also contributed sections to this book. Worth taking a peek for nostalgic fans.

Does the book cover mostly composition figures or do lead figures get equal coverage?

A reviewer on Amazon only read the chapter on composition figures and gave the book a negative rating. I read a substantial portion of the book and it is quite comprehensive. The book includes flats and most of the book focuses on rondebosse figures. Like I said, it really is a wordy book.
