The HBO series “The Investigation” is ridiculously well produced and played.

I rarely recommend TV shows as likes are mostly a matter of taste but this series provides a unique and insightful look at a true crime.

It is well worth a watch.

So glad to see a show that deliberately does not show the murder, ergo, making the story about him/her. The wife and I watched this one and man oh man was it good and the slow, methodical approach to the investigation will drive you nuts. However, that is reality and really emphasis the agony of an investigation, the prudence, diligence and most of all patience with no rush to convict.

I now know who Kim Wall is and thats they way it should be.

Highly, highly recommend this show.

It was produced perfectly.

They never show the suspect or even use his name.

Beyond that, despite the fact that the guilty verdict is a known fact, the creators somehow found a way to keep you on the edge of your seat as they make you wonder if the right evidence will be found in order to even take the case to trial.

Jason,

The show's pace was perfect...almost agonizing and I fought off the temptation to read about it on line. I found it interesting to see how their legal system works as well. A suspect gets a chance to change their story to explain, rather accommodate, their reasons for murder? Wow. Likewise, the show opens with the scene of the kid practically getting away with murder and the punch to gut of the prosecution and detectives.

I had never heard of this case and it was a shocker. In fact, weird, strange and evil. Ugh... Anyway, the performance by the actors were incredible. I recognized some the actors from some of the other shows I watched from that side of the world and they did such a wonderful job, you wondered if they were really the people who were involved. Now thats a good production!

In the real story I could not believe the amount of power and resources that the detectives had. I mean, I get that cops can call in anyone they need to help with an investigation, but the story line behind the sea water specialist and the divers blew my mind. Holy shmooly! The tenacity and patience of these guys was overwhelming and the endless days at sea in cold water must have been draining and that is perfectly depicted in the show.

I think I will watch again in the future in order pick up more morsels of the story that I may have missed due to reading the subtitles.
