That's good news, I have read all of the books in this series, and I'm finishing the 2nd last one "Sword of Kings" right now, with a couple of chapter to go, should be finished this weekend.

On Bernard Cornwell's website it states "My next book ‘War Lord’, the thirteenth book of The Last Kingdom series, will be published in the UK on 15 October 2020."

It seems that his publishers always makes sure the latest book is released in time for Christmas, so now my daughter has my Christmas present organised :) :)

My problem is that I buy it on the day it comes out and finish it in around 2 days, be interesting to see how he ends up, will he die? die in battle? Or just die in his bed*, if so no trip to Valhalla, but will go toHelheim, which is said to be Hell or in modern terms IKEA. Hope he does give us an ending, do not want to go on and on like Reacher, Reacher is 59 and still going on and on. His last couple of books have been quite poor in my opinion.

If you like the last Kingdom series try the Masters of War series by David Gilman, cracking read.

I had an uncle who always said he wanted to die in bed, on one condition, her husband shoots him quick.
