Apparently, this foreign movie that is on NETFLIX is based on a true story that did take place in Bulgaria. The film revolves around a school teacher who is faced with a series of financial blunders due to her husbands alcoholism. Her husband, who is unemployed, has not made the payments on their house for quite some time and the bank has initiated foreclosure proceedings. She learns of this when she comes home from school and the magistrate is there with the notice of a foreclosure. Which is to happen in 3 days. From there, the movie unfolds into a series of unfortunate events.
The film starring Margita Gosheva is exceptionally done. I could not stop watching the movie...wondering what is going to happen next. It is not a nail biting thriller, but more so I exploration into the panicked mind of a women who is going to lose it all. Yet, on the outside she tries to remain calm and stoic for the sake of her daughter and her students. It is mesmerizing and I highly recommend it. I know it is though sometime to watch subtitled movies but this one is worth the time.
