As the title suggests. It is about General Ewell. It is edited by Donald Pfanz who wrote a bio on him a few years back. I found it very interesting because it covers prewar war and a few post war letters. It really paints an interesting picture of Ewell. I came away viewing him differently. In one letter he scolds his niece about the costs of war. He comes across as a man who like Meade lacked political influence and didn't seek it. He did his job best he could. He even lobbied for Early who later turned on him. I highly recommend this book. Brad
