I have between 500 to 600 of the del Prado figures. Its really great (almost exciting!) when you buy some K&C, WB, TG etc figures and then think - I know there is also a Del Prado figure from the same conflict. A real bonus when you need that additional Spanish Civil war figure!

I totally agree, actually Kc are in my opinion just improved DelPrado figures, so they mix perfectly together....In almost all my dios I mix KC and Del Prado..{sm3}

I think we must distinguish between various series...the early series are designed and sculpted by K&C (the medieval series, napoleonic horse and foot, the firemen, the armies of XX century ranges, samurai) , the late series are created by Kronprinz's Emilio Arredondo Sanchez and are smaller than the early series..great variety but unfortunately the quality of the painting is lower (not the sculpting, Emilio is a great sculptor and painter for his own figures). It's a pity because the series portrayed are really good (American Civ. War, Egypt, The history of cavalry, Rome and its enemies,the west, Alpini & Carabinieri - only in Italy) and original...

Some gap filler in my african diorama. I have made some modifications transforming " alpini" into ww2 " Bersaglieri".

Wrong my friend, this is a legend .
Medieval Serie, Samouraï are coming straight from the moulds of New Hope Design from their serie Men At Arms made in conjunction with Osprey ( Books ) from he 70ies 80ies . Sculpting made by various English sculptors, hence, the reason for different qualities in sculpting .
Almost all the colours plate of the serie Men At Arms from Osprey, every period of history, were made by New Hope Design in 54mm, some in 75mm . More than 1000 references were available .

I checked..but nonetheless the sculpts appear different to me. Probably they had the same source of inspiration, Men At Arms, Elite, Warrior series from Osprey. Also i checked the sculpts of the samurai and none of them resembles the figures in the del prado series.Same for the "Vikings", no trace of the famous Vikings figure urging forward
http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/p-9980-viking-warrior-norway-872.aspx. I remember from the old leaflets with the figures that the figures were designed by K&C. Repeat, the source of inspiration is the same , but the sculpt it's entirely different. It happened the same thing just some years ago with the release of the "Cavalry of the Age" range sculpted by Emilio Arredondo Sanchez who reissued his version of some figure like this:

https://www.google.it/search?q=vala...a7bvo7YxwIVSZAsCh0QCg8y#imgrc=v8m8YRmJ8WnqSM:
As you see , the source is the same (Germanic Warrior, Warrior Series, Osprey), but the sculpt it's different. Many figures from K&C are taken unofficially by Osprey plates, some time in the future i'll post a thread about this.
