I missed the first hour of this movie (I saw this long ago before), but I thought it was an excellent movie. Not a war movie per se, but about a man (Gregory Peck) returning from WWII who has flashbacks about the war and going back to work and struggling with honesty and integrity. Anyway, that's my take of the movie. After the show I thought "wow", they don't make movies like this more. Anybody got any thoughts about this movie?

I saw a couple of snippets once in a doco about Hollywood's depiction of war. This was probably 30 years ago but it was enough to stick in my mind and ever since I've always wanted to see it.

There has been a lot of discussion about Westerns (movies), but I encourage everyone to watch this movie. I love shows with a moral ending, akin to "Its a Wonderful Life". I thought the character development was excellent. Did anyone see it and not like it? And why?
