I just finished reading the book which is pretty good. The movie comes out this fall directed by Ridley Scott with Matt Damon. Not traditional sci fi since it is more a Robinson Crusoe-type survival plot with no aliens etc.

I really enjoyed the book. So I hope they don't mess with it too much. Guess its wait and see time.

Been wanting to read this and will get to it eventually. Wonder if the book/movie is anything like the 1964 classic Robinson Crusoe on Mars, starring Paul Mantee, Adam West, and some monkey. It was a fairly entertaining show. -- Al
