By way of the Last Boat to Cairo, train, then steam ship, the Carter Expedition eventually arrived back in England. Within the study of an ivy covered English manor, Lord Carnarvon, Lady Evelyn, and Howard Carter shared an amazing tale of their discovery in Egypt. Most notable was their description of a giant carved monument of the death mask of Tutankhamun with an entry chamber leading to his tomb. Pointing a wooden stick, Dr. Selim Hassan only warned of the Curse of the Mummy!

About the Monument

"That's pretty cool Dad, I didn't think it would be so big", my Son said after I finished arranging the scene above. The Monument is truly large standing at almost 11" tall. K&C's new Tutankhamun’s Monument (AE087) is an amazing work of art. The design is exquisite in shape and detail with Egyptian hieroglyphics adorning its sides and entry way. The entry way is a perfect height for K&C's Carter Expedition figures, esp. everyone's favorite Mummy's Revenge figure (AE094). There is something about the Monument's face that makes me envision enormous stone-carved statues seen in Hollywood and Disney films/rides, esp. Indiana Jones and the Jungle Cruise. This morning; with fresh eyes, I very much looked forward to seeing my new diorama that I arranged yesterday evening. I find the Monument a perfect centerpiece for an Ancient Egypt or 1922 Egypt diorama. While it looks impressive on the cover of Collector #58, it is even more stunning up-close. My only regret is not purchasing some of the past released Ancient Egypt structures. Thank you Andy and K&C Team for a beautiful addition to a fantastic theme!
{bravo}}

Agree, I already knew how big this statue was and make a space for it, but nevertheless was taken back on how big it turned out. You have done it justice Rob. Perhaps we should consider changing scale to 1/20{sm4},Robin.

Wow, that is a GREAT scene...so much activity packed into a single image

Yep lots to look at with plenty of scope for developing on the theme. Look forward to seeing you have fun with this range ancient and somewhat more modernish 1920's. :salute::

Thanks Steve. Looking forward to what Andy and K&C has in mind next. I'm sure he will come up with another great addition for Egyptian fans.
