I've only been collecting K&C and others for about a year so I need your input on this.I found this company(The New Model Army) on the internet.I can't seem to find any threads on this company. So is the company alive and well? Are the tanks any good? Why are they not mentioned on this site?

This company is defunct. Check the retired manufacturers thread. Some of NMA's products are still available through various dealers.

Not any more I'm afraid. They are one of the casualties of the industry, and stopped production at the beginning of the year. You should find a load of threads on NMA stuff under the 'Other Manufacturers' (or something similar) section.

The vehicles are 1/30 and similar in paint style to K&C. Generally, and this is a personal opinion, they weren't quite up to K&C standards, but weren't bad, and were pretty competatively priced (even more so, now dealers are getting rid of stock.

Vehicle wise, they turned out:

2 x summer Scwimmwagens, 1 with a couple of FJs, 1 with a couple of SS
2 x winter Scwimmwagens, 1 with a couple of FJs, 1 with a couple of SS
3 x SdKfz 232 armoured vehicles (winter, summer + desert)
3 x Sturmtigers (winter, + 2 x summer)
4 x Lynxs (Sand (LE of 10), Winter, Summer camo and Urban camo
5 x Tigers (Grey (LE of 30), Winter, Summer Kursk and 2 x AK versions).

They also had a few figure sets

SS Mortar crew (of 4) - Very well done and matched K&C perfectly
2 x sets of 4 FJs - desert and Batallion 500, which were only so so (IMO)

If you scout around the usual suspects of dealers, you should be able to pick a lot of them up pretty cheaply.

Agree , my own favourite pieces from this range was the SS mortar crew and the Sturmtiger. The Lynx and the Scwimmwagens are neat little pieces also. As simon says, they can be picked up cheaply if you look around, great value now:)
