I decided to have a crack at making a windmill, i found a old painting with one i liked and copied the style.

Sorry about the size of the pictures, but when i scaled the windmill to the figures it turned out to be quite large.

Thanks Matt {sm4}

Hey Robin,

I would send it to you but it's super fragile, I will have to see if I can strengthen the blades up.

Matt :salute::

Thanks Tom,

It drove me insane trying to get the blades right, I ended up building two sets as didn't like the first set and three goes at the roof which should be a thatched roof. The minister of war & finance just rolls her eye's and reckons a blind man would be happy to see it. {sm4}

In my opinion the scale is ok. A great work! Compliments:salute::

Thanks Poppo,

I scaled it using a old figure at 60mm and a copy of the picture, luckily there was a soldier in the painting standing next to one of foundation stones. The base stones are 30mm the timber supports are 60mm and the main body is 120mm for a total height 210mm plus the fan blades.

Thanks again Matt

Thanks Tony,

Have you got that camera sorted.

Matt

Well,some progress has been made.I have acquired a small camera(Samsung WB600).It is pretty old,but I have taken a few photos and have learned to remove the card from the phone,put it in a USB stick and transfer the photos onto files in my computer.I have even sent some photos as e-mails.All pretty much pedestrian to most forum members,but quite an achievement for an old bloke like me.I suppose the next step is to make some dioramas,photograph them and try to get them on the forum.This probably won't happen for a while yet as it is the busy time of the year-winter crop harvesting,summer crop planting and cows calving.However,I will eventually get there.
