Thanks Mike...……..

There used to be a top shelf modeler out of the UK named Mick Sewell, he was famous in the wargaming world, he made a large number of scratch builts for me over the years, then he suddenly packed it in, if you can find his models in the secondary market, they go for a kinks ransom, I've paid through the nose for some, but they are all one of a kind, well worth it.

Arnhem is one of my favorite themes, mainly thanks to the movie, which I saw as a 16 year old and was hooked...……………..it's probably the favorite part of my 20mm WWII collection...……………..I have over 300 British paratroopers, plus a very large number of Arnhem/Oosterbeek buildings...……………...

Yes the village is amazing. When I got back into this hobby in my early 20's it was because I found some old 1/72 ww2 figures with some h.o building and some h.o scale tanks in a old box I had as a kid. Several weeks of playing with them on the coffee table sparked the interest back in marx playsets and that led to the OTSN for my first time.

Every time you set these up George, it brings me back to that simple box with 50 or so unpainted figures, a few buildings and a few tanks.
It's why I love the hobby and people in it.

What an awesome post; thanks for sharing that Chuck...……………...yup, it's a great hobby...………...and the people in it are great too, very well said.

This layout came to mind because you and I were discussing the new K & C Arnhem releases and as I stated, this is my favorite aspect of my WWII collection, so thanks for the inspiration to put this one together...…………..you get the credit for the idea, I get the credit for the layout...…………..:wink2:

This is one impressive urban set-up, George. Absolutely love all the different structures with their yards and other details. The effort you put into your displays and to see them turn out so well must be very satisfying. Just love looking at them and studying all the little details. Just fun. -- Al

Thanks Al, glad you appreciate the effort, I mess around with them until I get it right...………...
