I saw them at the Westcoaster when they first came out ( 1997) . They were not that appealing and I doubt they sold well. The unsold probably got melted down for fishing weights.
 
I actually think they're nice and something most K & C collectors of the older material want but not always easy to find. I think Louis has a few and I believe Larry has several, including the reviewing stand. Perhaps they can post photos.

I have at least one of each different figure and the reviewing stand. I also got the reviewing stand for Hans, whom I believe has multiples of the figures. I will take a couple of photos and forward them to Brad with a polite request that he post them.:smile2:

Sensational! I love them!! Did K&C do a 1997 Gordon Highlanders Hong Kong handover set as well?

Yes, modern Gordon Highlanders in white tunics, done in both Glossy and Matt, with a band as well. I have the marching Gordons and the color party sets in glossy, and a couple of the white tunicked pipers in matt. Since Larry beat me to the punch on the PLA, I will take some photos of the Gordons.:wink2:
