Brutal confronting film WW11 Japenese over running Singapore, very emotional, great film, certainly not feel good one, excellent cast including Colin Firth & Nicole Kidman. Highly recommend. Robin.

Seems you have been having a dose of serious WW2 films. Both this and Book Thief look good but have to say I am leaning towards Anchorman as next movie trip. I am not sure my better half would enjoy the grim subject matter.

Your wife would like the Book Thief I think Brett, really touching film, so well acted by Geoffrey Rush and his daughter in this is fantastic, what a young believable star.The Railway Man is not everyone's taste, but a reminder of those times and as my dad was a prisoner, a little more of an insight for me. Sorry other than perhaps Elf, cannot stand Will Farrell. Robin.
