Here's a bit more information on the series Mark. Looks like there's some BBC America involvement too - so maybe we should say - hope it gets to show over here too, eventually.

Since it is co-produced by BBC America chances are we will get it. It's entitled The Last Kingdom.
From a series of books written by Bernard Cornwell, who also wrote the books for the Sharpe Series
staring Sean Bean.

Thanks guys.I'm a big fan of History Channel's "The Vikings" and if is close to that it should be excellent.7 books so far,maybe a Game of Thrones type show,one book a year.That would be great!{bravo}}

"The Empty Throne" by Bernard is due out in October - so will be Number 8 in the series.

Will Uhtred get his ancestral home back?????? jb
