WOW had I not seen that box I would have believed it. I wonder what happened to it? It is filthy!!

At the end of the day though the figure were ok and look great :)

Wow you are so lucky, despite traveling it seems thru a war torn country, the study JJ box held its ground. Cheers, Robin.

OMG!!! What hardy little fellows JJ makes to survive all of that. Best get that shipping box far from your house, I'd hate too guess what could have caused all that damage.

Glad your figures were alright. That box seems to have had a serious encounter with an oil rig explosion. -- Al

I figured that if I didn't post pics, no one would believe that anything survived that type of damage...

Brent,

I had a virtually identical experience - I received a package from our good friend Tim Tyler that arrived looking like it had been chosen for a game of box trailer football (I worked my way through college and lawschool as a teamster loading trucks for UPS on the graveyard shift, believe me, the game does exist). When I opened the carton, the John Jenkins boxes were partially crushed and broken at the seams. When I opened the John Jenkins boxes, on the phone with Tim's lovely assistant (I'm happily married, but that young lady's voice definitely perks me up) I found that thanks to John Jenkins' fantastic use of individually cut out packing foam, not a single figure was damaged.

Unreal...

Brent...I have said this before and I stand by it...JJD makes some of the sturdiest and strongest figures I have ever seen...they are virtually indestructable...muskets, swords...arrows...they are solid and strong...I have dropped them off shelves and tables before onto wooden floors and ceramic tiles...these beefy figures take a whipping like nothing else I have ever seen....I'm glad there was a happy ending to find undamaged contents...if you show this to JJ...I'm sure he will send you another box...if you can't get one...contact me...I have some extras...let me know...I would be glad to help...

A good survival story.

I agree with Mike's comments about the sturdy figures and packing. I don't recall receiving any damaged items and bear in mind a high proportion have bayonets and swords. The packaging of Jenkins WWI aircraft is also excellent.

Regards
Brett

Mike and Brett,
I couldn't agree more. These guys held up very well. Mike I may take you up on the offer for the box. I appreciate it. Louis, glad to hear your experience turned out as well as mine did. I should send the pics to John as testimony as to the quality of figures and boxes!

Brent...I just sent this thread to John...if you want the box...don't hesitate to call...409-740-7008...
