Which Series has the best looking British Soldiers:

Chippawa, very close second is Culloden > Quebec > Battle of Monongahela

I went with Culloden - particularly now that I have seen the new Grenadiers. Quebec would be my second choice.

I have always been partial to the drummers...

I love their sleeves...

but...since I have to pick a battle...

I will say B of M...then Quebec...

so B of M is my poll pick...

If you had not asked what British soldier was the "snazziest" JJD's makes...

I would have said the American side of Chippewa...

the US Army...the Grays...

I believe these are the best figures John has created...pose, sculpt and paint...

the USCH series is his best overall figure in my opinion...

secondly would be the Highlanders from the Jacobite series...

they are fierce and colorful...

I voted Monongahela.I actually think Snowshoes is but on the French/Indian side.

Snazzy, huh? That ones right out of the way-back machine.:D I like the Culloden series. Both the infantry and the hielanders are great. -- lancer

Hehehehehe.....

Al's picking on you cause of your age and outdated lingo...

"snazzy"...

"the Ohh!! Ahh!!!" in your thread title sounds better...

I'm not too hip on what the terminology is now...but I know "snazzy" is even before "old school"...

snazzy is old old old school:D

Plato coined that phrase...hehehehe....:D

My apologies .. I voted Culoden in favour of the entire range as a whole. To choose the ' best looking" Redcoats only, I should have voted 1812. Can the poll nimbers be corrected .

Sorry.

I tend to associate the term "snazzy" with a winning effort. An army in defeat during the 18th century would not have been a pretty sight. That's how I came to Culloden. Also, like the blue/red color combinations for the Grenadiers.

Maybe a more updated word would be "spiffy" :D You'll hear us youngsters using that one :p

Or perhaps "wicked" "whack" "dope" "sick" or "sweet"
Too young and hip for me. Perhaps, as Blake said, spiffy. Also cool, neat, or it's offshoot, neat-o.:D Hold on while I find the oil can for my joints.:p:D -- grandpa Al

For the "snazziest" British uniforms...

I'm really surprised the POA series has not gotten more votes...

I don't collect Quebec...

except that I bought Fraser's Highlanders...

which I think are pretty "snazzy" in their "philebeg" kilts, blue leggings and blue caps...

I really like these guys...

but I always loved Wolfe's own...their uniforms are pretty "snazzy"...

I'm also really surprised that the BJ's of Culloden has faired so well in the voting...

I am certainly more impressed with the new Grenadier series than the previously released Barrells...

very tough question, but i'll go with
1. culloden 4th regiment of foot
2. quebec 47th regiment of foot
3. quebec 78th fraser highlanders
4. 1812 1st royal scot's
5 quebec 28th regiment of foot
6. monongahela 44th regiment of foot
7. snowshoes 27th regiment of foot

*interesting fact, i don't collect the culloden series but i collect the BOSS which is my favorite series. i love all the british uniforms but the color scheme of red, white and blue for the 4th regiment is a "eye catcher" oh what the @#$%, i guess i'll start collecting culloden now:eek::eek::eek: LOL

open your wallet Mark...embrace the Highlanders...even if not for the Brits...the Highlanders garb of kilts is spectacular...it's only money...hehehehe...

I'm surprised the Brits from Culloden are doing so well in the voting...I collect them heavy in multiples and am going to have to give them a closer inspection...

John had talked of some mounted Dragoons for Culloden...I bet they will be spectacular...

I just hope he releases several of them in different poses...

I would like at least 4 and maybe a set of 8...

8 different Dragoons would be sooooooooo cool...

I also think the Fraser's Highlanders are some of the best Brits he offer...I would very much welcome more of them...these guys look so cool.
