Just happened to run across this film this AM. I have never heard of it but sat down to watch. It is a Hammer production from 1959, starring Guy Rolfe and Allan Cuthbertson. Low and behold, the subject matter is the murder cult of Kali in India during the 1830's and is a very interesting movie. This isn't the fastest moving movie ever but holds the viewer's interest well enough. I first became aware of the Kali cult in the movie 'Gunga Din'. There was also another very good movie on the subject starring Pierce Brosnan called 'The Deceivers'. I seem to remember the cult being the story line in The Beatles movie 'Help', but I might be wrong or mixing up cults. Anyone else know 'The Stranglers of Bombay' or any other Kali related films? -- Al
