All the figures in following pics were, during the sixties, in the packages of coffee, detergent, of pastry making, with the bottles of oil, etc…

Hi General Custer,

What an unusual and distinctive collection! It is always fun to see something different within our hobby. Is it correct to assume that all of these figures are plastic? Do you own all of them? If so, you have a most interesting catagory within your total collection. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I have enjoyed viewing them very much!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Hi General Custer,

I am glad you started this thread as I have a few unusual items stored away. My items include cigarette lighters, cake decorations, salt and pepper shakers and a few other things, all of which are toy soldier related. I will post some pictures of them when I am able to find and unpack them.

Also, I would encourage others to post pictures of unusual toy soldier items. It will be fun to see what other forum members have found in their search for collectable toy soldiers.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Those figures are in the O'Brien Toy Soldier Book. Good pics. Those are very nice.

Some really interesting pieces there, thanks for sharing.
To say that some of these are a) free with food and drink products, and b) 40 or 50 years old, the quality of the molding is pretty neat.

Great collection, I've never seen so many of the French plastics collected in one place before.

Thanks for sharing it with us, prost!
Brad

I am sure the pictures do not do them justice. Certainly did not in the O'Brien book. Is it a complete collection?

No, and some are damaged ( ex: the woman of the pic, a French female singer named Juliette Greco, miss one hand ) .

Other people are actor of 50/60, personnalities of the French Revolution, famous XVIII° and XIX° writers like Victor Hugo, famous explorators like Cavelier de la Salle who found the Quebec, etc...
