if you liked LOTM, this movie takes place a few years later, directed by cecile b demille, starring gary cooper and paulette goudard is a must for anyone that likes the french and indian war and the period between it and the revolution. the movie is based on 'pontiacs rebellion' and is truly a lost hollywood treasure. it also costars henry wilcoxin as a british officer and boris karloff as a senecca war chief. the plot is terrific, the custumes are authentic, the scenery is magnificent, etc. its definitly worth a look.... john jenkins also recommends it on his web site....

The haunting bagpipes of the dead Scottish troop train fooling the indians ,into thinking they were a rescue expedition, gets me every time. Of course, you got to throw in Drums Along the Mohawk also, as a classic...Michael
