I just received my second HB Bergepanther, a winter version this time. What a fantastic underrated piece these are.

Now I just need one of the K&C M26 armored recovery vehicle.

nice, what did these do, did they tow tanks or bulldoze them out of the way? Just wondering as well what the pulley wheel on the side was for? The green camo one is particularly nice

They are one of the many German recovery vehicles and likely the best. The winch is rated at 40 tonnes while the crane is rated at 2 tonnes. The spade is used to anchor the vehicle during recovery. The large beam on the left side of the vehicle is used as a cushion when pushing vehicles. This vehicle could recover Tigers and Panthers.

excellent explanation:cool:...thanks:)

I have the winter bergepanther, and it is one of my favorite pieces. I have it displayed on a shelf with the winter panther and the damaged winter panther, and they all look great. Thanks for the info about the bergepanther Frank, I always wondered what the crane was for, now I see it was used to remove and lift the tanks' engines.

I am in total agreement, one of my favorite pieces, totally underrated.
