I saw this oldie again after so many years. You know that this sequel is not going to be as good as the first movie when the opening scenes keep referring to the original, and there are dedications and reference to Richard Burton's character now and then.

It doesn't have glowing reviews but actually, it isn't a bad film. There is enough skulduggery going on to satisfy the spook fan. But I think that the film would have fared better with Richard Burton in the lead role (which was the original intention).

Not a terrible film, but as you say, it suffers in comparison with the first film, which is a first class action show with some well drawn characters. -- Al
