A few pics of my display with the new War Park Winter Panzer III Ausf. M with Winterketten tracks! My work can’t compare to Frank’s epic setup and photos, but I’m happy with my results nonetheless. My vignette base uses JG Miniatures snow & grass terrain with some winter grass tufts added for variety. I used snow powder to hide the figure bases and make the terrain look more lively. For what it’s worth, corn starch or talcum powder would have worked just as well as the fancy stuff, lol. I don’t yet have the new set of War Park Kharkov figures, but will use them when they come… Anyways, hope you all enjoy 😎

Great stuff, Tman. Both the tank and figures look great. Your dio and photos do them justice as well.

Love the winter scenes! Makes me want to break out some of mine.

Another great little dio. Those scenic bases you're making set the figures off beautifully.

Another great scene...and that winter PKWIII is a must-have

Great setup as Usual! Can you tell me where that tank commander is from? Is that an old Kronprinz figure?

Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments, Kollos 😃

The figures on my Panzer III are all War Park figures. The commander is one of the crew figures that came with their now-retired winter Nashorn SPG model (item AX011). Here’s a pic of them in place on my War Park winter Nashorn:

The figures sitting in the turret are War Park SS tank crew figures KH079 (right) and KH080 (left) and were originally intended to complement War Park’s first tank, a winter Panzer IVG (AX001).

Ah! OK, that makes sense, he does look like a Warpark guy. Man, that was driving me batty! Thanks for the info, looking forward to your next display!

Thanks again, Kollos! Glad I could help… War Park needs to release some more winter tank crew figures in basic poses for use in the tanks. Some winter tank riders wouldn’t hurt either.

Double post, but wanted to show my updated Panzer III winter diorama with the new War Park winter German figures. They’re excellent and a significant improvement over the older Kharkov series figures.

Totally agree. - At the moment I'm hesitating to get their winter tanks, because there are no crew available to put in the hatches.

I was thinking about this comment and you’re right, there haven’t been many winter tanker figures recently released from War Park… The most recent I can think of were the crew figures with the winter Hummel SPG vehicle. Most of my winter tanker figures are all somewhat older releases from the Nashorn crew back to some of the early Kharkov figures.

Excellent Tman! Like that b@d @$$ look. Figures are outstanding with this Panzer. As always, like how you display.
How do you think these WP figures would go with TG?

Thanks Rob!! War Park figures are 1/30 scale while the TGM figures are a tad larger at 1/29 or 1/28 scale (which always bemuses me as the TGM vehicles are spot-on 1/30 scale). That said, some of the War Park figures do run a little large and so they might work in a setup, maybe as forced perspective or something.
