The first photo is showing the same figures that appeared in the center fold of TOY SOLDIER June 2006 issue which feature Frontline Figures. I thought I'd put together my version using the same figures along with 4 additional photos featuring some additional figures which are included in Frontlines Zulu War Series. These will be the only photos that I'll be posting to this Thread. Others will be appearing in Creating The Battle.........Enjoy The Lt.

LT, Those look very nice. I'm going to have to break down and buy some Frontline Zulu sets.My collection is all painted Conte plastics and I would like to add some more variety of figures which will have to be metal sets. From what I have seen, I think I like these the best since they are flat finish. Your collection has so many nice figures! I suppose I could give some glossy ones a shot of dullcote !
Neat stuf!

FubAr:)

Good afternoon Fubar and that it's nice to know that you survived your day of War Gaming and hope your troops did as well. You might be interested in checking into the Kits that are availabe from Tradition of London Limited by checking their web site and clicking on to Toy Soldier 54mm and scanning down to and clicking on to The Zulu War 1879. They made four sets two of the 24FT and two of the Zulus which can be purchased in Kit Form and paint. I was pleased with the figures I received and they fit in well with the Conte Figures. I'm including a photo of the 24Ft with figures from both sets along with the ZULUS although finished with a gloss finish they'll look great done up in a matt finish. I got the figures from Dunkins' Collectables back in January 2005 and they may be something for your cionsideration. By the way here's wishing you a HAPPY & HEALTHY NEW YEAR..............The Lt.

P.S. I switched shields on a few of the ZULUS the larger ones are from extras I had on hand from a few other kits.

Thanks for the info LT. No wargames, everyone to busy, sick, pooped out.
I am terribly tempted to get some Frontline sets from my regular frontline dealer. The VC 18{?} figure set looks very nice and A Rorkes drift wargame for January would be fitting if I can get some people together for it.
Also hunting around for a Conte Kieth Rocco pair of Rorkes drift sets.I guess they are sold out just about everywhere!
I'll probably just try and maintain my impulse to buy until the big September Chicago show.
Thanks again
Fubarrrrrrrrrrrr

I orginally started this Thread back in Dec 06. The photos posted to the thread no longer are available. I've posted on a few of the recent threads started by ucla1967 which will also be appearing here. Hopefully I haven't upset the apple cart by posting them in the mention threads. I started this thread my talking about a photo which appeared in issue 97 as the Pull-Out Centerfold Poster of Toy Soldier & Model Figures and featured a photo featuring my Frontline Figures. Attached is the photo which appeared in magazine and my re-worked photo using the same figures creating the same scene as a kick off of photos to follow....The Lt.
