During World War I, an officer and an NCO of the Scottish regiments reminisce about their homeland on the lawn of a French Chateaux where they have been temporarily billeted.

Yeah Chris, the WWI era tam o' shanter was quite a bit larger and floppier than the WWII version.

Gotcha- BTW-great avatar

Thanks, I just couldn't pass on the HST avatar...what an excellent maniac he was.

Below is a photo of some Argylls in Belgium in 1919 wearing the same headgear as the K&C figure in Randy's excellent post.

Hi Randy,
where is the guy with the coffe cup from
Couldn't find him anywhere.

He is from a Christmas set last year I think...it was a Christmas truce set with a German figure alongside.

Thanks, Mr. Dave,
now as you mention it I remember seeing that set at one point.

Does anybody know if that set is still available anywhere? Also, was it a club exclusive and how much did it cost?

$79 Sold out at Treefrog and Sierra and Bill Sager's Toy Soldiers USA. You could ask on Classifieds. It was a very popular set this year and flew off the shelves. That Highlander is worth the whole set.

Yes, he is excellent. I saw these a while ago at Toy Soldier Shoppe, but I think they are all long gone now. Thanks for the info. Randy.
