There is the last show at the Design centre in June 2017, I know a lot of people never cared for the venue, but I did not mind it. I have exhibited there and also attended as a visitor and I know there was a bit of hassle setting up, but I thought the Halls were better than the national hotel, but that is just an opinion.

What is more concerning for me is the lack of exhibitors, the March show was very short of exhibitors, they did remove a whole row of exhibitor space/tables from the downstairs exhibition hall. There are great exhibitors there, Grey Goose, K & C, Britains, First Legion and T Gunn, but there were many small independents not there, but possibly they will be back at the new venue, where on-costs such as parking [which was £18 a day] etc made it expensive.

I am still looking for a train ticket at a decent price, but they are too high for me at the minute at £62 for a 90 minute train journey from where I live. This does not make it an affordable day out..........but if I do not make it then I am sure there will be some great pictures.

Walsingham,

Well I am on my way to the show in June, so I sure hope that it will be just as good as the other couple that I have been to.

As far as affordability, well it is VERY expensive for me, as I've flow from Australia to Budapest , and am now traveling by trainl all the way to Angel Tube Station via the 'Steel Rail' and currently stopped in Nuremberg, Germany :) :)

I hope that I can enjoy some fine 'fellowship' at the Steam Passage Pub at lunchtime with as many of the fellow Treefrog members who can make it there on the day.

This is the highlight of my trip to UK, like always :) :)

Cheers,
John

Enjoy the trip John!

Have a good trip, I know you will enjoy the show, as there are a lot of good guys there and a really good vibe. My comment on cost is of course nowhere near yours, but the last three train costs for the show have been £30 to £35 and with the new price increase, which is equal to a decent figure, makes me think whether to go or not. This will the first show I have missed since the Dec 2008 show, when I was down under visiting the colonies [haha].

My key things to see are Grey Goose, First Legion/Thomas Gunn stands, David's stuff on TM Terrain and K & C, really nice guy from Italy now running the stand/K & C.

I have visited Budapest a few times and no Toy Soldiers there I could find, but the market in the old railway station right next to the river was always a great place just to wander and this time of the year will be cooler inside.

Have a good trip, .

Still going well,

we 'Crossed the Rhine' yesterday and now stopping in Mainz,

then onto the 'Liberation of Paris'

before heading 'Back to Blighty' :) :)

2 week's time, I'll be at The Show,

John

We will be there - hopefully with some new figures (if I get then in time...) and some samples of the Agincourt range that I hoping to finally get out.

Come and say hello...

Mike

As in all good London shows this one has me very interested in the JJD Jadgpanther (a possible chance a finished version may show up!!) but either way, it's always a very enjoyable thread to see the many photos that our members post here after the show, already looking forward to seeing what the forum mates will post this weekend!!

I'll see what I can do, we are arriving in London this afternoon :)

I heard that Barzso Playsets will be at the show, they might have something new? John take some pictures of the show, Thanks Mike.

Anything Barzso would be good to see. Hoping to see the painted JJD Jagdpather and seeing the TG Roman elephant is still progressing. Wondering if JG Miniatures will be there. Should be a very enjoyable event for those lucky enough to attend. Robin.

Any of the Brit Treefroggers going tomorrow? ?
Rob
