There was a picture...somewhere...it might have been on the London Show thread...but I can't find it...

if anyone has it...can you please post it or send it...

I usually save all the new pictures...but this one escaped me...

can anyone help...

it was a picture of some of the Black Watch attacking a prototype of the breastwork that Montcalm constructed...

and maybe the abbatis in the surrounding area...I can't remember...

if you know where the pic is...can you help me...
 
OldTank (Aurele) found it for me...thanks again for the PM Aurele...I saved it to my files...I would like to try to build that piece...

I would look at the video clip that you posted featuring Montcalm at the wall. I think it shows a double row of timbers --- timber, earth fill, timber. Small ditch in front.
 
A the 200th, there was yet another version-logs were stacked in a sort of pyramid shape, which one could climb up on to shoot, and a design which was echoed in the museums displays. Also, don't forget all the trees and brush in front of the main works.
